Lactobacillus reuteri Protectis is the human L. reuteri strain used in BioGaia Probiotic products for gut and immune health. In products for support of oral health Lactobacillus reuteri Prodentis is used, which is a mixture of two strains. Lactobacillus reuteri is one of the most well researched probiotics. To date 40 clinical studies on more than 3,000 subjects have been conducted, and the results are published in 26 articles in scientific journals. Another 9 studies are published as abstracts of oral or poster presentations at scientific conferences.
