New study with Lactobacillus reuteri Prodentis
In a recent study made by professor Svante Twetman and Mette Kirstine Keller at the University of Copenhagen it was shown that Lactobacillus reuteri Prodentis reduced oral malodor (halitosis). Professor Twetman and his colleagues concluded that exhaled air was positively influenced by the use of L. reuteri Prodentis as compared to placebo. Halitosis is estimated to be the third most frequent reason for seeking dental aid, following tooth decay and periodontal disease. The results were presented at 2011 IADR/AADR/CADR 89th General Session, San Diego, California, USA.
